Make sure to tune in to Sunday Worship on BBC Radio 4 at 8:10am this Sunday, 5th November. It will be coming live from St. Joseph's!

Our assistant priest, Fr. Timothy Whitwell, will be the principal celebrant at the Mass. Fr. Michael Hall, a regular visitor to St. Joseph's, will be preaching the homily.

There will be music from the Bradford Boys and Girls choirs, conducted by Tom Leech. The organ will be played by David Pipe.

On Sunday 29th January at 4pm, the world-famous Gabrieli Consort will be performing a concert at St. Joseph’s in collaboration with the Diocese of Leeds Music Department.

The performance is entitled ‘Music for Kings, Queens and Princes’ and will include choral music and a brass ensemble. They will be joined by the Bradford Catholic Youth Choir.

Tickets are £10; free for under 16s. They will be available on the door or visit:

The proceeds will be used to support the Bradford Youth Choirs and St. Joseph’s Parish.

We are sad to announce the death of Canon Peter Maguire, a former parish priest of St Joseph's. He died peacefully on the morning of 29 December 2016, in Mount St Joseph’s Home (the Little Sisters of the Poor), Headingley, Leeds

Would you please remember him, his family and his friends in your prayers.

Wednesday, 11th January: St John the Baptist Church, Newland Lane, Normanton WF6 1BA

7.00pm: Reception of Canon Maguire’s body into the Church followed by Mass.

Thursday, 12th January: Leeds Cathedral, Leeds LS2 8BE

12.00noon: Funeral Mass

A Requiem Mass for Canon Maguire will take place on Saturday, 14th January at Mullingar Cathedral, Ireland followed by his internment in a family grave.

Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him may he rest in peace. Amen.
